Photos from the 31st Annual Wooden Boat Show, May 2005

The Silver Chalice, a 24 foot replica of a sixteenth century ship's boat, was one of several traditional craft giving rides on Taylor's Creek during the Wooden Boat Show in nearby Beaufort. This boat is representative of the type of vessel that might have been used by Richard Grenville when he explored the North Carolina coast in 1585. She was built as a joint project of the Friends of the Elizabeth II and the NC Maritime Museum.
